We are a gourmet coffee roaster dedicated to the highest possible quality. For over fifteen years we have been perfecting the arts of roasting and blending the best coffee beans available to produce a cup of coffee that can only be described as delicious.

Cupper's Coffee & Tea was a logical progression for café owner Al Anctil. Al first began roasting while operating the Penny Coffee House, literally. The challenge of running a café and keeping an eye on a 400° roaster, combined with the increasing demand for his coffee led Al to separate the two activities and in 1991 Cupper's Coffee and Tea was born.

We import and roast Coffea Arabica exclusively. This is the richest, most aromatic species of coffee. Grown in the tropics at the highest elevations, the beans mature more slowly and develop a subtle depth of flavor unrivaled by any other species. Arabica coffees are also naturally lower in caffeine, containing up to 50% less than the most widely cultivated variety.

However, getting the best beans is only the first step! Any bean will have it's flavour destroyed by poor roasting. Over the span of nearly two decades we have learned the in's and out's of the roasting process and the characteristic development of the various beans we roast. Combining this knowledge with an expert eye for color and hands on control of the entire roasting process with our custom roaster helps us bring out the best in every coffee.
